Looking back, 2008 was an "okay" year for me, I have my ups and downs. Its a year where many changes took place, especially for my schooling environment. From a secondary school to a polytechnic.
From a school that's relative small in size, to a school which is ( to me) huge. I remember having to use a damn map to find when my IS class is located on the first week. Feel so retarded. Well, I still don't know where certain blocks are. hahaha.
Now my classes are all held in air conditioned classroom, and it gets cold sometimes, TOO cold. Last time no air-con complain hot, now got air-con complain cold. hah! I miss looking forward to rainy days during secondary school. I miss looking forward to the cold breeze the rain would bring, the freshness in the air, the smell of the rain. The good old days~
Above all the things I missed about secondary school, I miss spending time with my friends, classmates and teachers. I miss saying hello to my juniors even the security guards!
Even so, I do have my fair share of fun times attending polytechnic despite having missed so many things about secondary school, and all the expensive transport fee, plus irritating assignments.
I made lotsa new friends in poly. Got to know many nice people, especially people for 1m02 and more. I got to know Vin-san too! :D
Well, in 2008 I can say I've learnt quite a bit. My perspective of different situations have changed. I have grown intellectually and emotionally. :D I cherish my family, friends and loved one more. I hope to learn to appreciate them more in the coming years. :)
Let me recall some memorable happenings during 08' :
- I kept falling sick. Even now, I am sick!
- I injured my big toe. It was P-A-I-N-F-U-L. The toe nail fell off a couple of months later.
- I received my "O" result and enrolled into NgeeAnnPolytechnic's MMA
- Got my very first job!
- went for an open air movie marathon at fort canning. It was really cool. G0t to watch the stars and the movie at the same time!
-OHOH! Watched the fireworks festival. It was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Couldn't keep my eyes off the sky.
-I worked out at a gym! :D
-Getting all exciting for Formula one!!
- My niece, Alyssa was born! New addition to the family.
-2008 was a leap year!
-Last but not least, I fell in love. :)
2008, a year filled with nostalgia, news and olds, and its all coming to an end.
I think I will spend the last day of 2008 doing a bit of work, maybe go out for a walk, hopefully some of the excitement will rub on to me. Then the night would most likely be spent at the comfort of my home. :) I would probably be thinking a lot too, Its a day for self reflection peeps.
I am gonna welcome 2009 with big old smile, with the people i love in mind. :)
