The beautiful Taiwan.

Spending 10days in another country without any parental supervision was quite an experience. It was different from vietnam or any other trips i've been to. For the first time, I had  to do the planning and the booking, i really felt like a grown up.

Thankfully, everything went a bout smoothly, we didn't have any mega hiccups along the way.We  got back to singapore, safe and sound, craving for another adventure.

Things I'll remember about taiwan:

1. It is a shopper's paradise, especially for people of the same age as me. We shopped till we dropped. The clothes are cheap, almost everything in taiwan is cheaper than in singapore. Some of my favourite shopping places are: New juejiang shopping district  and an ning fashion street in kaohsiung, and  shida night market, shili night market and wufenpu wholesale district all in Taipei. Ohyes! zara is cheaper there tooooo~~~

2. good milk tea. There are many bubble tea vendors in taiwan. All taste super good.

3. People are mostly friendly. There service standards are really good!! me love! Taxi uncles are also very kind and chatty.

4. Location of our hotels are wonderful, all a stone throw away from the train station and in walking distance to shopping area. The hotel staffs are also awesome!

5. Trains are less crowded in taiwan then in singapore. The trains get to the destination faster and it is also a very convenient method of transport.

6. FOOD! i really enjoy the crispy fried chicken, meesua, the cupnoodles and pasta bar~ ohmygosh, i wish they would open a branch in singapore. we didn't really eat much this trip, but i am going back to taiwan for sure!

7. There are little to no money chargers in taiwan. The only way to change currency is to go to the bank or to departmental stores, another alternative is to check if the hotel changes currency. Not all departmental stores carry sin dollars and i made quite a big lost changing money at my hotel lobby. Much lousier rates! rates at taoyuan international airport is good though.

Taiwan is a really easy destination to go travel on your own, especially if you know the language.

Can't wait for my next big trip, wonder where will i go next!

In the plane ready for take off~

In the train, travelling over to kaohsiung. Took about 5 hours. Views were beautiful, so much greenery. I felt so much closer to nature.
